Childish Obama Supporter Diaries

We have another example of this even as I type.  It's up on the Reccommed list.  Yes, these diaries get a surprising amount of support to actually recommend them.  They have tantrums when they see a diary they don't like, which usually means it's promoting HIllary Clinton, or it shows the weakness of Barack Obama.

This is some of behaviors that have been propagated by the candidate.  Actually giving the illusion that this is a behavior that is accepted or even admired.  Or is it just a simple fact that they can't be original and and copy someone eles's words that sounded too good not to re use, one more time.....maybe even twice or three times.  Again, another example we've seen by the candidate.  Reusing speeches from other candidates like John Edwards and Deval Patrick, brought to us by the creator David Axelrod.

And when they write these diaries, when these Obama supporters copy the same titles of existing diaries on the Recommend list by Hillary Clinton supporters, they dive further in to the behavior pattern we have come recognize as Camp Obama.  It's the demeaning, demonizing and condescending behavior they exhibit.  You know they are losing, like we saw from the Bush administration, when they are losing the argument, facts won't support what they want to claim, so they turn to personal name calling, assaults and abuse as their only means, as an attempt to cloud the real issues.

One profound quote always comes to mind with these actions.

First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win. by Mahatma Gandhi

But don't worry.  The Hillary Clinton supporters will still welcome you when she is the Democratic Nominee for President.

I'm sure when you all have time to calm down, you will appreciate Hillary Clinton never resorted to these tactics and never went personal and you will work hard for her in the General Election.

I find it highly amusing you wrote a diary that is essentially a fit of pique in the same manner as what you are alleging of that other diary. Heh.

And I'm sure you've never had a problem with any of the hard-hitting, Clinton-supporter created diaries that pop up on the rec list.

Oh, and I loved the part where Obama was encouring bloggers to be mean to you. I guess, by extension, Clinton's been egging on the people at Hillaryis44, and Taylor Marsh, and No Quarter? Can I blame her for them?

Here, I think that in the end, this is what you need-

Re: Childish Obama Supporter Diaries (2.00 / 1)

I can't say I necessarily approve of all the diaries that come across the Rec list on either side, but the example cited certainly isn't an issue.

With all due respect, the diary it is rebutting is a regurgitation of Clinton talking points and press releases that could very well use a point by point rebuttal. Snark might not be the best way to get the point across, but I'm not going to argue writing style with someone.

would, they certainly have my support.

Some of the Obama supporters have dragged blog dialogue to a level of hooliganism that is wrecking the discourse in much of the left blogosphere.  I wish they would not come to MYDD, they have kos already, Huff Po, you name it, is that not enough?  Is the stench over at those sites too powerful?

Re: That would be really great if they (2.00 / 2)

Ok, I am not going to argue with someone who wants to censor discourse,  that is a republican value, but lets assume you are right and censorship of a public Democratic forum is ok.

So the Clinton supporters get Mydd all to themselves,  what happens when she does her official concession speech on June 2?

Is Mydd going to be like post war japanese caves,  where soldiers lived there for years pretending the war was still going on?

Re: Childish Obama Supporter Diaries (2.00 / 2)

Honestly, what's wrong with a rebuttal diary?  It's not like people supporting the original diary tend to respond to substantive criticism in that diary.

and then get your intelligence insulted as some people feel it neccessary by calling you 'idiotic' even 'stupid'.

FYI: in the scientific community this throwing of the words such as idiotic and stupid, is un heard of. For not only does this type of attack discredit the claims at hand, it discredits the scientist who put them forth. To disprove someone's arguement you need to provide a rebuttal based on fact, not slander the scientists claims with your biased opinion.

Quite frankly, analysis around here is quite weak, loose at best.

Re: Childish Obama Supporter Diaries (2.00 / 1)

How was that diary childish?

It was a systematic rebuttal of arguments.

I guess for Clinton supporters any attempt to debate them is childish.

Luckily for them, Clinton herself doesn't lack the intestinal fortitude of a lot of her followers. Hell, a certain Clinton blogger absolutely refuses to debate about what she writes.

You do realize you wrote a diary just like this. (2.00 / 2)

The great irony here is that you don't realize that this diary is more of a bitter response to the Obama supporter diary, while the diary in question is a point by point response to another diary, which is probably valid.
